About the event
This hybrid training program is designed to give firefighters, EMTs, and rescue personnel the advanced skills needed to handle complex vehicle incidents. Using Jones & Bartlett’s Vehicle Rescue and Extrication: Principles and Practice, Revised 2nd Edition, students will complete one month of independent study before attending a dynamic, hands-on weekend at the MERIT Center in Marshall.
Topics Covered Include:
Advanced auto extrication techniques
Heavy rescue operations (including large vehicle scenarios)
Electric vehicle (EV) fire & rescue tactics
Live car fire suppression
